I emerged from my shower this morning to find three Egyptian Geese paddling around our swimming pool, where they were soon discovered by our Weimaraner, Oliver (read more about our dogs here).
Two of them wisely departed, leaving this one to fend for itself. Every time one of the dogs barked it would swim away underwater. As its head popped out they’d bark again, and it would pop underwater again.
Occasionally it surfaced perilously close to the edge, which eventually was its undoing (not documented in any of these images).
